Clam Sauce with Basil
A classic Italian recipe of linguine with Clam Sauce, this one utilizes our whole ocean clams. Check out our other clam sauce recipes, we have several variations:

Instructions
Sauté clams in 1-cup wine for 4-6 minutes. Reserve liquid and set clams aside. Heat oil until rippling; add onions and garlic, sauté for 4 minutes. Just before serving, stir in basil, clams, salt, and Tabasco. Dissolve starch in remaining wine and add. Bring to boil, stir until thickened and remove from heat. Ladle sauce over pasta, garnish with grated cheese and pepper.
Ingredients
- 15 oz. can Sea Watch Whole Ocean Clams, drained
- 1½ Cup Dry white wine
- ¼ Cup & 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 Cups Onion, finely diced
- 2 Tbsp. Garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice, fresh
- 1½ Cups Basil leaves (packed), chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Tabasco Sauce, to taste
- ¾ lbs Linguine, cooked according to directions
- Garnish: Pepper and grated Romano cheese
